Back to the Roots 2.0

Today was my high school’s 20th birthday celebration! This is special in particular because I went to a Big Picture school, and my high school was the very first one to be established. My school set out to change education as we know it.

It was good to see all my old teachers and advisors and mentors and a couple of friends. I liked that there were so many new faces mixed with the old–my school was no longer mine but a legacy for many others. When I told my advisors what I was up to, they weren’t surprised, because I’m doing exactly what I set out to do in the first place. It was reassuring to say the least.

Getting away from the middle of life and back to the simplicity of living,

Marta
